Why alpatoto Requires Email Verification
Email verification serves two purposes on alpatoto. First, it confirms that you own the email address you provided during signup. This prevents someone else from registering an account using your email without your knowledge. Second, it establishes a recovery channel—if you forget your password or need to reset your account, we send instructions to your verified email.
From a security standpoint, email verification is a baseline control. It does not replace two-factor authentication (which we recommend you enable after verification), but it is a necessary first layer. We do not store your password in plain text, and we do not send it via email. What we do send is a time-limited verification link that only works once. Once you click it, your email is confirmed and you move forward in the account-opening process.
The Email Verification Process on alpatoto
When you sign up on alpatoto, you enter your email address and create a password. We immediately send a verification email to that address. The email contains a link and a time window—typically valid for 24 hours. You click the link, and your email is confirmed. If you do not click within 24 hours, the link expires and you can request a new one from the signup page.
After your email is verified, you are prompted to upload KYC documents (a government-issued ID and proof of address). This step is mandatory for all users and is required before you can make your first deposit. Once your documents are reviewed and approved (usually within a few hours), you can fund your account using DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, or bank transfers.

Common Email Verification Issues
If you do not receive the verification email, first check your spam or promotions folder—sometimes email filters catch our messages. If it is not there, return to the alpatoto signup page and request a new verification email. We will send a fresh link with a new 24-hour window.
If you entered the wrong email address during signup, you have two options. If you have not yet verified, you can start over with a new signup using the correct email. If you have already verified but want to change your email later, you can update it in your account settings after logging in—we will send a new verification link to the new address, and you must confirm it before the change takes effect.
Account Security After Email Verification
Once your email is verified, your account is partially secured. However, we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) before your first deposit. With 2FA enabled, every login requires a code sent to your phone or email—even if someone has your password, they cannot access your account without that code.
Your verified email also becomes your recovery method. If you forget your password, we send a reset link to your email. If you suspect unauthorized access, you can use your email to initiate an account recovery process. This is why keeping your email address current and secure is important. If your email account is compromised, your alpatoto account is at risk.
Email Verification and Payment Setup
Your verified email is linked to your payment methods on alpatoto. When you deposit via mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, or local payment, the transaction is tied to your verified account. Similarly, when you withdraw, we confirm that the destination (your e-wallet or bank account) matches your account records. This connection prevents fraud and ensures that only you can move money in and out of your alpatoto wallet.
If you are in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, or Medan and prefer bank transfers, you can link a online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, or local payment account to your alpatoto profile. The bank will send a verification code to confirm the link. Once confirmed, you can deposit and withdraw using that bank account. Your verified email remains the primary contact method for all account notifications and recovery.
Email Verification and Withdrawal Eligibility
You cannot withdraw from alpatoto until your email is verified and your KYC documents are approved. This is a regulatory requirement, not an arbitrary restriction. We need to confirm your identity and your email address before we can process any outbound payments. Once both steps are complete, you are eligible to withdraw to any payment method you have linked to your account.
Withdrawal requests are processed subject to standard verification windows. E-wallet withdrawals (online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking) typically clear within hours. Bank transfers may take 24–48 hours depending on your bank. We review each withdrawal to ensure it matches your account details and deposit history. If we detect an unusual pattern, we may ask you to confirm your identity via email before processing—this is a security measure that protects both you and alpatoto.
